This blog about creating a National Smile Month was just a happy thought that bloomed into something bigger. I happened to come across a few web sites that listed August as National Smile Month. Sounded like a good idea as this month has no regular official Holiday that we can share in together so…
Why Not?
In doing further research I found that Dentists also use a smile month though they switch between May, June or July and so I didn’t really see a consistent theme. What makes it National? Not sure there has been an official designation and so I believe any month can be a smiling month and if you are feeling a bit better for smiling all month then I would say it was a successful endeavor. I can’t imagine anyone who takes themselves on and focuses on any one intention for a month wouldn’t be a tad closer to it …so why not smile all month and just see if it doesn’t have a positive effect on you?
We could all benefit by using something that was given to us at birth and that we possess all our lifetimes… and is so universal that everyone understands it!
So in August of 2009, National Smile Month was officially adopted and may it be a simple though great experience for all who would like to take it on in a game like format that’s easy to do.
Just read about the particular smile each day, then find it within and apply it to your face. Simple, easy and life changing…the smile! It just might make you feel good and it is a very inexpensive way to add volumes to your look!
